Automatic renewal service agreement

Important Notice

Thank you for using the automatic renewal deduction service (hereinafter referred to as "automatic renewal service agreement" or "this service"). In order to protect the rights and interests of paid VIP users (hereinafter referred to as "paid VIP " or "you"),please read all the contents of this service agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this agreement") in detail, especially the bold portions, before using this service. Minors should read the contents of this service with your legal guardian.

When you activate and use this service, it is deemed that you have read and voluntarily accepted all the contents of this service agreement, which means that you have reached an agreement with eBooks and voluntarily accept all the contents of this agreement.

Article 1 Acceptance and Amendment of Service Agreement

1.1 This agreement is an agreement concluded by the eBooks-VIP (hereinafter referred to as "VIP") regarding the VIP's use of the automatic renewal deduction service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by eBooks. The VIP should read this agreement in its entirety when activating this service, and fully understand the rights and obligations of this service between eBooks and VIP as stipulated in this agreement. By choosing this service, the VIP is deemed to enjoy the rights stipulated in this agreement and agrees to be bound by the terms of this agreement. If a legal dispute arises between eBooks and the VIP, it will be resolved in accordance with the relevant stipulations of this agreement.

Article 2 Service Description

2.1 On the premise that you have activated this service, and during the validity period of the VIP service and beyond, you irrevocably authorize eBooks to entrust Apple ("Apple" in this agreement refers to Apple Inc. and its affiliates) or Google ("Google" in this agreement means Google Inc. and its affiliates) payment channels to deduct the subscription fee for the next billing cycle from your  Apple ID/Google Play ID that is linked to your eBooks account.

2.2 Automatic renewal: eBooks entrusts Apple or Google payment channels to collect the subscription fee for the next billing cycle of the paid VIP through the account described in Article 2.1. Accordingly, the payment is recorded in the paid VIP payment record, along with the deduction method for extending the validity period of the paid VIP. You need to ensure that the Apple or Google payment channels successfully deduct money from the above account. Renewal failures caused by an insufficient deductible balance in the above account are your own responsibility (including but not limited to the termination of paid VIP services and the inability to participate in paid VIP activities, etc.).

2.3 If you choose Apple or Google payment channels to enjoy this service, you agree to allow the Apple or Google payment channels to issue deduction instructions, and you agree that Apple or Google payment channels can verify your account password, payment password, SMS verification code, etc.; the subscription fee for the next billing cycle will be deducted from the relevant account above.

Article 3 Rules for the Use of Automatic Renewal

3.1 If you activate this service, you are deemed to have authorized eBooks to deduct the VIP fee for the next billing cycle from your Apple ID/Google Play ID balance when your eBooks-VIP is about to expire. The specific deduction time is 24 hours before the expiration of each billing period.

3.2 If there is an error in the deduction process, eBooks and you shall closely cooperate to find out the cause, and each shall bear the loss caused by their own fault; if the loss is caused by unequal faults of both parties, both parties shall bear the corresponding responsibility according to the degree of the fault; If both parties are jointly responsible, both parties shall share the responsibility equally.

3.3 After you choose to use the service, unless you choose to terminate the service, your entrustment of the automatic renewal deduction of eBooks is irrevocable, and eBooks will deduct based on the payment method and service you selected when you activated the automatic renewal service. The fees paid by you will not be refunded in any way.

3.4 If the price of the eBooks paid VIP subscription service is adjusted before the automatic renewal date, eBooks will publicize the modified content on the relevant pages before the deduction, and the deduction will be made at the current effective price.

3.5 eBooks does not charge any handling fee for you to activate this service, but eBooks has the right to decide whether to charge or adjust the automatic renewal cycle and fees based on business needs or market changes, and make an announcement on the relevant pages.

3.6 The service provided by eBooks is limited to your use on the eBooks platform. Any use of paid VIP services by malicious cracking or other illegal means to avoid renewal shall constitute a violation of this agreement. All legal consequences caused by this are the responsibility of the perpetrator, and eBooks will pursue the perpetrator’s legal responsibility in accordance with the law.

Article 4 Suspension, Interruption and Termination of Services

4.1 Unless otherwise notified or announced by eBooks, this service will be effective indefinitely. This agreement will take effect after you choose to accept or use the service, and it will terminate when you terminate the service or cancel your paid VIP qualification.

4.2 If one of the following situations occurs, eBooks has the right to immediately terminate the provision of services to you, and does not need to be liable to you or any third party for this:

(1) The effective legal documents of the national administrative or judicial authority confirm that you have violated a law or tort; or eBooks based on its own judgment believes that your actions are suspected of violating the content of this agreement, the rules of use published periodically by the eBooks platform, or the provisions of the law and regulations, etc.

(2) Your behavior interferes with the normal operation of any part or function of eBooks.

(3) eBooks believes that there are major risks in providing this service to you.

4.3 eBooks may choose to suspend, discontinue and suspend this service based on its own business decisions and other reasons. If such a situation occurs, eBooks will notify you in the form of an announcement.

4.4 You have the right to terminate this service at any time on the relevant pages of the eBooks platform. After termination, eBooks will stop providing you with this service.

Termination method:

(1) Termination process for Apple systems

Please manually open the "Settings" of the Apple mobile phone- > enter "iTunes Store and App Store"- > tap "Apple ID," select to view "View Apple ID", enter the "Account Settings" page, tap "Subscriptions", select eBooks and you may then cancel the subscription for the eBooks auto-renewal service. If the subscription is not terminated at least 24 hours before the end of the subscription period, the subscription will be automatically renewed.

(2) Termination process for Android systems

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play store; check whether you are logged in to the correct Google account; tap the "menu" icon ☰ and subscribe in turn; select eBooks and tap "Cancel Subscription". If canceled, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing period.

4.5 The instructions that you have entrusted to eBooks for automatic renewal and deduction before choosing to terminate this service are still valid. Once eBooks has successfully deducted your balance, it will not be refunded, and the VIP service for the next billing cycle will be activated for you.

Article 5 Other Agreements

5.1 If the company does not take any action, legal or otherwise, for the violation of the payment terms (if any) of the paid VIP, it does not mean that the company waives the right to take action, legal or otherwise, nor does it affect the company's right to future actions, legal or otherwise, regarding similar matters.
